Living a life solely dedicated to serving the Lord Jesus Christ

More than a blog post and unconventional to our usual writings, today we want to leave you with a charge... one that we hope you meditate on often and not just daily but hourly.

Romans 12 vs 1 [NKJV]

1 beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

That book chapter in Romans is titled "Living Sacrifices to God." The word "sacrifice" means the act of offering something to a deity in propitiation or homage. As believers in Christ, we ought to wake up, each day we have breath in our lungs, committed to living lives that reflect that we understand what Jesus did on the cross for us. That everything we say, do, think stems from a deep love for the Lord and leads us to live lives that show the world that we truly pursue the title of being Christ-like.

Our accepted gift of salvation must not stop at being saved; No! We must daily pursue sanctification in Christ by the Holy Spirit meaning that we wake up everyday saying "Lord, continue your work within me to make me become just like Jesus in every facet of my life." To “sanctify” something is to set it apart for special use; to “sanctify” a person is to make him holy. God is calling us to Holiness so He can reveal so much more of Himself to us. We do not need to look at our leaders and pastors and think because we work secular jobs we cannot strive to attain a similar relationship with God; No!

They are merely examples for us to see that God is not out of reach! He wants to show us the depth, and length and breath of His love for us. Commit today to the start of something new. Wouldn't it be nice too if you could also hear God? Hear Him speak through His word and in whispers and dreams and visions? God wants to reveal Himself to the world through the gifts He has given you by His Spirit. Submit yourself to Him so that you can walk in the new experience of all things God!
